Tengo, tengo la camisa negra

Yhoji yhamamoto's collection is really fucking cool. and black. with some whites.
I love these white lace up boots too. Very sexy and rubbery looking.

This is my favorite of the lot. A jumpsuit for these ohh sooo unpredictable elements. Kind of galoshes mixed with jumpsuit but sniggley and comfy.

I thought i was turning my back on black until this collection. This woman is really cool, NO she's 'bitch I want to be her' cool. She's the kind of woman you see in the street and look at from the corner of your eye like theres something in it and even raise your eye brows a bit out of surprise, all so you can really get a good idea of her outfit ready to copy or even do better. That is what this outfit is to me.

Im not sure I get Chanels most recent collection. In fact, it's pretty disgusting. It's toilet roll holder, shiny space fabric combined with russian/porcelain doll chic hasn't got me this time. I thought Lagerfeld was stepping his game up, not this time one step forward (in nasty silver boots) two steps back.
The Ice cream colourway is good, and the big hair+bow is fantastic and even nods towards last years defiant grey hair trend, with some streaks.
But WHAT WAS HE THINKING. It's as if he just couldn't care less. Karllll ve need ze designs today! Ahh avv zeees i did zem when i voss on se toileettee zis mornin.
Here's the GOOD, THE BAD and the UGLY.

A potato sack for the rich when they want to look err like a potato sack?

 Bridesmaids dress gone wrong.

The afforementioned toilet roll holder
Bog chic?

This one really was a self portrait

And some that are quite beautiful, I do love the hair and the tights. Some of it is admittedly effervescant and fairy wing esque.

Beautiful

bear neccessities....

Cant believe what i stumbled upon!! Im a bit obsessed with homeware at the moment, having a proper flat for the first time. I actually feel like an old person I love little twiggy birds and homeware and plants too WHATS BECOMING OF ME i need to grow down.
Absolutely love bears if they aren't terrorizing so these are pretty cruel.

But yes sick. (in a bad, bad way)

On a much lighter note - time for some fashion/art stuff
LOVE some art work by Ruby Petts

Actual fashion next time! I promise. Promise bomis.

A toast!

During the depths of what seems to be the eery, lost month of the year, there is nothing quite as appealing as getting sniggly.
I dont mean the snuggle blankets with the arms for the sofa. NO! i mean beautiful, elegant sniggly.
Im talking PYJAMAS, Slippers, ThRows, cups of tea and big thick socks. Just because its practical doesn't mean it cannot be beautiful.
Toast, a firm family favourite is cosy, but rustic and unique, The quality is minddd blowing, but the price, reasonable.

Layer socks with leggings/skinny jeans/ tights and high boots.

Flippin love little birds. Had a wren fly into my bedroom part of me wanted to catch it and keep it like a little mouse and have it sing on demand. But the other part of me loves them so much i couldn't do such a thing!

Most of the pyjamas are reversible too.

These are all on sale. Choose from the velvet, silks and flannels beautiful!

Time for bed!!!! mmmmmm

im avin an Art Attack

Im getting so frustrated. My design project reflects so strongly on my mood. If its going well its euphoric, but if it's not going well Im so low.
Seems to be the way with all things creative. There's nothing better than the feeling of writing a good article, doing a mountain moving design or putting together an outfit that is shit hot. Its just one tends to know when something isn't quite THAT which is such a disappointing feeling. Still, the struggle is well worth the gain...
I am an IMPERFECT PERFECTIONIST which should be a recognized condition! MY GOD It's a battlefield out there...

'Karl Lagerfeld's sums it up well, although it sounds like a frustrating life.
I'm never content with what I do. I live in a sort of permanent dissatisfaction. I think that's the secret to doing things well.

strong little swimmers

Lovely image. Definitely think this theme could be big somewhere in 2010. So flattering is 1920's swimwear. This stuff looks almost military with the applique.
Love the ukulele. Its so happy and wet and summery, which seems like a world away amongst the glum, wet and wintry feel of mid january.
I love how the 1920's gals always have big chunky hephalumps of legs which is so refreshing. It's healthy looking!

Solomon grundy born on monday

I'm gonna run some blades through my hair in honor of the blade runner doll.

However slightly less like Biff's mum. Who is not a MILF.
Unless mullets are up your ally...

Use navy, not black. Some new years resolutions for your muffy aunt

So you got a lump of coal from santa, you've blown up like a berry and your

bank balance has shrivelled like your poor boozed up liver and both are at the point of no return.

The comedown of christmas is always a drag but FEAR NOT. Here are some failsafe resolutions to make 2010 the

final year of a decade you'll never forget (no pressure).

1. Get out of bed. This world is AMAZING.

2. Dont feel guilty for not getting out of bed. You deserve a lie-in if you've been out on the razz.

3. Buy a CD. I mean actually buy one. You can look at the pictures and everything.

4. Money situ doomed - VAT on the up. Do less laundry and use more deodorant.

5. Move more. Take up Mai Thai boxing. Self defence skills, toned thighs and happy head.

6. Dont lubricate. Start fire with friction, cos baby its cold outside!

7. Spend more time on yourself. Love yourself, you're amazing.

8. Cuddle more. People love to feel loved.

9. DO ONE THING. Dig a pond and get some froggies, stroke a dog or feed some birds. Just think of their little cotton legs.

10. Forget resolutions, more like revolutions. They go in one year and out the other.

The dogs glittery bollocks

Love this goes with my little art deco obsession of late

Gold gold go away come again another day
no not really. Gold has got some serious staying power - every season it's new golddd this! and this gold
that! Like a family friend we adore you.

3.1 Phillip Lim Spring RTW - This is so elegant could be shorter though :)

Lovelies colories

Lovely colour ways that i stumbled upon by Proenza Schouler ( Spring 10).
The shapes are pretty cool as well. Like the new take on the drop waist looks a bit more flattering and edgy than the traditional art deco style.

Aahahah tie dye you whaaaa

Love the hair a lot a lot. Everyone keeps telling me it wont suit me which breaks my heartttttttttt
I think i feel a rebellion coming on.

Today i begun baking. My AMAZING idea for cheap and cheerful christmas presents was to make big beautiful cakes and box them up with ribbons and tissues and boxy boxes. So last night i bought a lot of stuff from tesco - first and foremost loads of ingredients but my creativity will come out in these cakes if its the last thing it does. I have got some my little ponys that have scratch and sniff bums. They're lovely colours, im going to stick their trotters into the frothy butter icing and fanny will really be your aunt.
They're gonna be vaguely personalised so ive got some aeroplanes for my sister lovely bright pink, green and blue ones which will be emersed in a bright blue buttery happiness.

I am sad to say that im 19 and still scared of being alone. Home alone in Devon is however, a different ball game. I wouldn't mind being in London right now christmas shopping but NO tough tits. Im here in this freezing cottage. Beautiful by day, dont get me wrong. But having just watched the film paranormal activities which by the way is shit, yet scary so dont bother - i am having trouble with the bangs and creeks of this neck of the woods.

Just learned Paloma Faith 'New york' on the guitar and belted it some. Definitely good therapy. I love her shes god.

Now is the time to take a photo of my cakes and do what good bloggers do but no. I am too scared to go upstairs and get my camera....
Nice one.
Got a christmas project to contend with from Uni so need to get brainstorming. Chowder.

We'll drink drink drink to Lily the pink the pink the pink

I am really feeling Art Deco at the moment and can see it influencing fashion if not now within the year.
Mark my words mark.

This could mean lovely head dresses, hats and headwear in general. Shapes, collars and lovely flouncy flapper things. Make like postprohibition and drink to lily the pink.
This here art deco biatch is Lily.

Like this. But modernised versions. PAINT EVERYTHING WHITE. I do love white emulsion paint. Instead of getting said Dr Martens i might just paint my old school army boots and change the laces.
This is what i mean by lovely headwwearware.....

It does remind me of my showgirl costume i wore recently. Victoria Beckham actually wore my twins very leotard! Quite an achievement to fit into that - although Beckham no doubt had hers clamped at the back.

Looking undoubtedly beautiful in an old Vogue spread.

Our attempts weren't bad at all! I love show girl stuff.

These would be really lovely jackets. Made in amazing woven knits but in fabulous colours - you never know maybe even white painted / metallic / frilly / pleated the possibilities are endless.
The hair styles are fabulous. DO try this at home :)

Over and out. chchchcccccccc

Inspirational making mood material

Love these.
Whilst suddenly running out of money no thanks to rent day, i have decided i am going to do the dirty and make some christmas presents!!!
WHAT FUN any excuse to make something. These Miu Miu socks are rather good making mood inspirations. Im also tempted to make everyone a pair of their very own personalised pyjamas but nice and long and swayie.

Growing up i'd get in these MAKING MOODS where i would just have to make / create with whatever was readily available to my mothers dismay it was often something unreelable like cotton or selotape. Selotape was a firm favourite.
Anyway these days they come further apart but are awfully severe nonetheless. I actually get them indefinitely when i have a hangover. I suppose i'm just still drunk and excitable at these points.
So yes in order to make all this promised stuff i need to get ratted.
A good seasonal way to get RATTTTTTED at the moment is mulled wine. and what better place to sip this warm spicey friend? Winter wonderland in Hyde park of course!

I do recommend going. There is an initial feeling of displacement with all the blonde haired germans that run the show. Who needs to go to Germany when you can go to winter wonderland? No seriously, who needs to go to Germany?
There are some yummy big sausages and mulled wine - the whole fair is basically made up of either sausage or wine or both stalls. So there isn't a lot on offer - but what more do you need?? There is this AMAZING 50's amusement arcade and a haunted ride with some pretty convincing corps hanging. As for the ice skating i just dont care. I'll watch, heavily drinking mulled wine - granted. Nothing more nothing less :)

As for my christmas wish list i'd be sooo happy to get some Dr martens - for song long i have shunned them but having been doing them for my project at the London College of Fashion (that's LCF really but we do like to cough up the full title to those that don't know. shame) and our relationship has spiralled out of control.
Who wouldn't want/need a pair after all Santa wears them. yes he does.
WHITE DR MARTENS PLEASE otherwise these Raf Simons ones are the pick of the bunch.

And some white ones for good measure.......
