Objet d'Art II

In love with Angela Brandy's designs! There is so much going on, but it works somehow. Lovely colours and textures.

Shame about the ludicrous prices, but Silvia Tcherassi's bags are lovely. They're made in Columbia and cost just under a thousand pounds.

Ashish

                                                                                                Ashish RTW SS'12.
The  Spring  collection is incredible! I've
never taken a lot of notice of Ashish until now;
 this collection is so wearable and playful.

Alright Petal?

Next season is a projectile flower power vomit. An even bigger explosion of bright colors and textures than this one. I've noticed a lot of bird inspired shapes and prints too. These are some of my favourites from the collections so far, they're BLOOMIN BRILLIANT.

Rodarte RTW 12 drew inspiration from Van Gogh's sunflowers.
The hair was a lovely shiny dark golden blonde which matches the flowers beautifully.

Blurred swan beaks by Giles (RTW '12).

Christopher Kane RTW '12

Katrantzou's suit is  a bit like last season Cacharel, but with (blue)bells on...

Mary Katrantzou RTW '12. I will never be able to pronounce her, and it seems neither will I denounce her.
Love the mash up of birds and flowers.

For all the crazies

'if' by rudyard kipling

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master,
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it all on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!"

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

Rudyard Kipling (1865-1936)

What a day for a daydream...

Floaty, dreamy silhouettes from Jonathan Saunders

When I interned for him I didn't like his stuff really, but now I LOVE it.
He's increasingly on the mark especially with these softer, more dreamy prints.

Worth taking a look at the rest of the collection ( RTW '12).

Love the big fat leopard print by Holland. Leopard print + colour = very nice to meet you
